He was a top athlete and student and after graduation he ditches all of his possessions. He even gives his $24,000 saving to a charitable venture before he sets out for Alaska. His plan is to live in the wilderness in a completely solitary life. Of course, nothing is completely as planned and Christopher runs across several characters that shape his adventure. This is one of the best adventure movies.
Of all the good adventure movies this year, Avatar is not one that will be forgotten anytime soon. It is the kind of movie that people watch over and over again when they add it to their collection. Marine Jake Sully is a paraplegic who, despite his disability, takes on a mission on the far off world of Pandora. His brother has just died in a robbery and he has nothing to lose. Once he gets there he finds out that his mission is not all that it seems and that the Na’ vi people on Pandora are soon to be wiped out if he doesn’t help them. It seems that they can help each other though. They give him a spinal surgery that gives him the use of his legs again and he helps them defend their tribe. It gets even more complicated when he falls in love! Adventure movies like this are the kind you don’t mind seeing many times over.

For the third time, Johnny Depp stars as Jack Sparrow in one of the best adventure movies ever. The Pirates of the Caribbean series gets even better with The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This time, Sparrow is in love – maybe. He’s not sure if this woman from his past is for real or if she is just using him to find the mythical Fountain of Youth. She could just be a really good con artist. Jack finds himself in quite a predicament when he is forced upon the Queen Anne’s Revenge – the ship of the biggest and baddest pirate, Blackbeard. At that point, Jack isn’t sure which one is more of a threat to him – the beautiful woman of his past or Blackbeard himself! Good adventure movies like this are the kind of movie everyone loves.
It is possible to say that James Bond series is the perfect example of good adventure movies. It combines everything that attracts views and makes them watch it again and again. Quantum of Solace is another one ion the row of good movies about James Bond with Daniel Craig and Jesper Christensen playing main characters. Probably The Lord of the Rings is the most exciting epic adventure movie of the previous century. Even those who are not familiar with the book written by Tolkien appreciated that screenplay. The last concluding part is stated to the better one by many critics and you should definitely watch it and agree with them. The star cast if this trilogy did a great job, actors like Elijah Wood, Noel Appleby, Orlando Bloom did superior job and their characters will be remembered for a long time.
